Alex Rodriquez has been suspended for 211 games by MLB for using Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs) and obstructing an investigation. He is appealing the ruling, and playing for the Yankees in the meantime. It is unlikely that he will overturn the ruling, and thus is likely to miss the rest of the 2013 season, the entire 2014 season, and may be forced to retire. He is returned to the Yankees as an active player after recovering from an injury on August 5, 2013. His current baseball ability is questionable. He performed adequately in the minor league period.
